Therapist

douglas@avycs.com

Douglas Huff comes to us as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Utah.  He has been a social worker for the past 29 years.  He began his social work career in the Untied States Air Force (USAF) working with victims and perpetrators of domestic violence.  While in the USAF he also conducted substance abuse assessments and did individual and couples counseling.  After retiring from the air force he began working at Utah Valley Hospital here in Provo.  He began as a crisis worker and then spent most of my career working with patients in the cardiac units.  His role there was to connect people with resources and to help families as they dealt with very emotional issues. Douglas anticipates being fully certified in EMDR in June of 2019.

“I come to A.V.Y. Counseling with the desire to effect change in the lives of the people that we see as they go through their own trials of life.  I look forward to helping in any way I can as we work together.” - Douglas Huff, LCSW
